The ATPC has a Fee For Service (FFS) e-text production program for learning institutions outside of the California Community College Network.

Please peruse our catalog of e-text books. We accept requests for these titles as well as titles that we haven't cataloged yet.
The Alternate Text Production Center strives to provide the quickest turn around on all orders for E-Text materials. However, due to the nature of our grant, priority will always be given to all requests originating from a California Community college. FFS production will never interfere with CCC production requests or compete for ATPC’s production resources.
Any organization requesting the e-text capabilities of the ATPC will have to meet the following requirements:
- Institutions must certify student disabilities preventing the use of standard instructional material.
- Institutions must certify that the instructional material is connected to the student’s registered class. The electronic text is for use by the student in connection with a course in which he or she is registered or enrolled.
- The institution must have purchased a copy of the book for use by the student, or the student has purchased the book. An original receipt or copy of that receipt will be filed by the institution requesting the electronic file from the ATPC. At any time, the ATPC may request proof of the requestor’s receipt of purchase and proof of disability.
- The request is authorized by an official responsible for monitoring ADA compliance at the learning institution or equivalent
- Handling precautions will be taken to ensure the student does not copy or distribute the electronic version of the instructional materials in violation of copyright laws.
- Students must be aware they may not copy or redistribute the files in any form.
To request customer status the ATPC must confirm the eligibility status of the organization requesting materials. To be considered for customer status please contact our E-Text coordinator.

This “Fee For Service” (FFS) price schedule is designed to depict administrative or handling costs, based on the level of effort to convert Electronic Textbooks (E-Text) into enhanced reading & navigational file formats. There are various developmental stages in refining E-Text files. Each formatting level requires various amounts of time and effort. Fortunately, the conversion and handling from one level to another can be quantified as an administrative cost, as reflected in the table below.
The ATPC is currently only setup to accept a P.O.s as a form of payment.
