Welcome to the ATPC's Catalog of Alternate Media.

General Information

The Catalog contains entries (records) for print documents - text and tactile graphics - that have been:
- Rendered into electronic-file formats by ATPC staff, or
- Provided to the ATPC in electronic-file format by the publisher of the materials.

ATPC stores these files in several different electronic formats:
- Braille (Duxbury or EditPC)
- Text (ASCII, RTF, M/S Word or WordPerfect)
- Page layout (PageMaker or QuarkXPress)
- Scan (PDF or TIFF)
- Tactile (PDF).

Requesting alternate media from the Catalog is restricted to registered ATPC users.

How to View the Catalog

To access the Catalog, click on the link below. There are two methods for viewing the contents of the Catalog: a Search feature and a Browse option.

Search Feature
The search feature requires you to type-in a word, or words, and then press the Enter key (or click on the Search Now button). Using the word/s that you entered, ATPC’s search engine will return all records that contain “matching words” in any of the following fields:
- ATPC Catalog Number
- Title of Material
- Subject
- Author of Material
- Publisher
- ISBN.

To obtain additional information about a selected item, click on the Title of the Material.

Browse Option
You can browse the Catalog based on the first letter in a title (Title of Material). All you need to do is click on the letter of your choice. All titles in the Catalog beginning with that letter will appear.
