ALTERNATE TEXT PRODUCTION CENTER TOUR
Welcome to the Alternate Text Production Center (ATPC) of the California Community Colleges. The ATPC is the first publicly funded, system-wide resource dedicated to serving the alternate text formatting needs of the largest post-secondary educational system in the world.
The ATPC is hosted at Ventura College and is located adjacent to the Ventura College Institute for Community and Professional Development. The building itself is approximately 1,700 square feet and it has been renovated so that it is accessible and secure. The ATPC facility consists of areas dedicated to production, resource, meeting and office space. The renovation began in October 2001 and was completed in January 2002.
On the exterior of the ATPC building is a mural incorporating artistic depictions of electronic text and Braille into the mural. Completed in December 2004, the mural was designed and painted by local artist Mary Beth Hanrahan.
